Merilin Monroe and her home

The life of Marilyn Monroe in her only own house.

During her lifetime, the pop legend changed 43 places of residence, but only one was chosen and bought by herself. It is located at Los Angeles, Brentwood, 12305 Helena Drive.

The L-shaped house is located at a dead end, with a free-form pool in the courtyard, with trees and an citrus grove. It vaguely resembles the style of the Spanish colonialists - Hacienda, but not quite.

As a child, Marilyn changed 9 schools and a total of 43 residence and felt unwell because of this. The psychologist advised her to "take root." And she herself personally chose a house for herself and bought it. A one-story house cost a little less than 100 thousand dollars, and she paid half at once, and half got a mortgage. In this house she will live the last 6 months of her life and somebody will kill her there.

Monroe herself believed that the house was made in the Mexican style and even went to Mexico City to buy tiles, mirrors and other details for the interior in the Mexican style.

Monroe said that she felt safe in her house, like in a fortress. And then she was killed in her own bedroom.

On the tile at the main entrance to the house, it says: "Cursum Perficio", which in Latin means "My journey is over." The words on the tile became a prophecy for the star.

Marilyn Monroe is dead only physically and is alive in creativity. She became an attribute of the pop art style, and her image is sold and disseminated in art thanks to, for example, Andy Warhol and other fans.
