Paganism Kievan Rus

Paganism (yazustvo - Rus) in Kievan Rus (the modern name is Ukraine), headed by the god Perun. Almost until the 1st millennium AD, there was no Christianity in Kiev and other cities of Russia, and the Slavs worshiped a pantheon of gods, the main god was the god of thunder - Perun.

Perun

Paganism was destroyed by the "fire and sword" of knyaz Vladimir during the baptism of Rus. 1000 years have passed, and the persecution of the Gentiles continues. Perun was stolen and burned many times.

At this location on "Bald Mountain" in Kiev, all the figures, except for Perun, have been added recently. It is difficult to determine the age of the oak of Perun. And although the temple is difficult to find, there has already been more than one attack of vandals.

On the altar for sacrifices there are unidentified symbols that were not used in Ancient Slavic culture. Unknown symbols are repeated on wooden figures.
